
If more than one person is in the same room on different devices, an irritating echo will be audible by all participants. Children should never be in the same room during a hearing and if you have a potential witness with you, that witness should login with their own separate device from a different room. It is best for you to be alone in a room during the hearing. Don’t let that happen to you!ĭistractions. Covey discusses background noise below, but one thing I will add is to make sure your smoke detectors are not beeping! This is one pet peeve of a particular judge who will order the participant to take the device outside if she hears beeping. Covey goes into more detail about this below. In either case, be sure your device is positioned on a stable surface and your camera approximately at eye level. We might talk on the phone during breaks in the hearing.
